# Collaboration

Creative work gets better when the right people are involved at the right moment.

Ask who can unstick, challenge or improve the work. Bring them in early enough to matter, not five minutes before submission.

Good collaboration also respects people's attention. Before pulling someone into a call or asking them to review something, make it easy to understand what you need from them.

When handing work over, include the context, owner, deadline, current status and definition of done. Do not toss a file over the wall and hope telepathy handles the rest.

Share credit. A strong final output usually contains strategy, account judgment, craft, production, client management and invisible problem-solving that cannot be seen in the final JPEG.
