# Annual Growth Reviews

Once a year, each person should have a structured Growth Review with their lead.

It should look backward and forward:

* What did you contribute?
* What are your strongest skills and behaviors?
* Where have you improved?
* Where do you need to improve?
* How are you showing the Culture Code in practice?
* What responsibilities or skills are you ready to grow into?
* What should you focus on next?
* Where relevant, what does this mean for role, progression or compensation?

The annual review should not attempt to remember an entire year from scratch. Your living 1:1 document should make the conversation much more grounded.

If weekly 1:1s and regular feedback are working, the annual review should contain reflection and perspective, not surprises.
